Jeanie Marie Buss was born in the US. She is the owner of control of the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association and currently acts as the association's president. Buss is a California native, and was raised by an affluent family. Jerry Buss, her father was a successful entrepreneur in the field of real estate and later eventually became the proprietor of Lakers Entertainment and Sports. When her parents split in 1972 and she started to feel as if she was abandoned. When she was 19 years old, she began working for the family's business, serving as general manager for the Los Angeles Strings professional tennis team. After that, she established the Los Angeles Blades team of professional roller hockey. She held the position of the president for Great Western Forum prior to becoming the vice-president of Lakers. Buss along with her five brothers and sisters and their father who owned the Lakers and was their controlling shareholder up to his passing away in 2013, received this ownership by way of an estate. The five siblings enjoyed the same vote rights. She assumed the office as the President for the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss owns a co-owned business Women of Wrestling an pro-wrestling promotion company that is based in Los Angeles.
